The Effects Don't Cause the Causes

Symptoms, indicators, manifestations, consequences and their root causes.

If dandruff shampoos worked, people wouldn’t constantly buy them, right? The shampoos might temporarily remove dandruff flakes, but the underlying imbalance will still be there if nothing is done about it.

When I was young, I thought if diet pills and diet sodas really worked, there would no longer be overweight people in the world! But you can’t have it both ways, of course, the short cut solutions and not actually working on your health.

When your tongue has too much of a white coating, it’s a sign that you’ve eaten too much unnatural ‘foods’ that attract the type of bacteria and yeast needed to break it down, creating the thick film.

Bacteria also goto work on your teeth due to this type of unnatural diet, causing black cavities. The temporary solution might be to drill away these cavities and fill them, but if you don’t do anything about the root cause, then you will end up with more dental work. And don’t take the free candy they offer at dentist offices for kids!

When you hike on a trail, observe all the dead logs and trees and notice the turkey tail, wood ears, and other fungi mopping up the excess moisture within the trees and doing other breakdown functions along with other organisms- ants, beetles, lichen, moss, woodpeckers, vultures, etc. These cleanup crews did not cause the death and decay of organisms. Observe flowing versus stagnant streams and how much algae predominate in the stagnant water. The algae did not cause the streams to be stagnant. Observe the mosquitos around stagnant water. Rudolf Virchow, in explaining that germs are not the cause of dead tissue, said mosquitoes “do not cause the pool to become stagnant.”

The fungus on this white oak did not cause its death. The position of the tree, where less Sunlight reached it, or poor soil conditions, or some other factor caused its weakness and eventual death.

On the pathway that I walk almost everyday on my land, I’ve noticed that ant mounds have formed, as well as an abundance of plantains/plantago, clover, and other pioneering plants. Did these ants and plantago create the trail?

Not the best picture, but you might be able to make out the ant mounds in the open trail path. Did the ants cause the trail, or did my daily walking on the trail cause it?

In the must-see video below, Gary Tunsky points out that a dirty kitchen will attract cockroaches and ants, and that spraying with pesticides is not the solution, which is to actually clean the damn kitchen:

Later in Tunsky’s lecture, he gives another analogy about the car engine warning light, where you can’t just turn off the light and make the underlying problem go away. But this is what we do, for example when we take pain meds. We mask the pain that the body sends as feedback so that we don’t stress a knee or whatever part needs healing, but by taking pain meds, we don’t heed our body’s warning signals.

We do the same thing with fever reducers, thinking this will solve the problem when the body is trying to create an environment to rid itself of the toxins, the real problem. Btw, Tylenol/acetaminophen kills and injures thousands every year. Johnson & Johnson wouldn’t allow products on the market like that, especially for babies, would they?

We do the same with anti-inflammatory, antihistamine medicines, thinking this will solve the problem, when the body is just responding to toxins and imbalances.

We do the same with anti-mucosal medicines. Any smoker will know that the more you smoke, mucus will start to envelop the excess tar and trap it so that you can cough it out. So why would you take anti-mucosals, cough suppressants, etc.? The hard shell of cancerous tumors also envelop toxic waste in order to trap it. Most herbalists also tout various herbs with anti-inflammatory, anti-mucosal, etc. properties, which work in different ways than p'harm'aceuticals, but the same principle holds- you cannot expect the herbs to heal you long-term as you continue to eat junk, have an unhealthy lifestyle, or are overwhelmed by a toxic environment.

At the societal fractal, too many gangs and violence and drug use are signs of imbalance. We could try to imprison gang members, but the problems will remain if the social structures and policies don’t change. The mani'fest'ations will continue to 'fest'er.

So now at the cellular fractal, do you think these principles are different, such as cleanup processes shuttling debris and toxins out of the cell?

Now at this stage of the game, we should be familiar with the concept of exosomes (out of the soma/body), about firetrucks not causing fires, about rats not causing the pile up in apartment trash dumpsters, etc. But still, we could be missing important pieces of the puzzle. For example, I had not realized until last year how the proliferation of petrochemicals and other toxins started to pervade our lives along with the rise of Rockefeller Big Oil, Big Ag, etc., and that the controllers need a boogeyman to deflect from these root causes of illness. These concepts need to be at the forefront of our minds in order to fully understand how to take back control of our health, cuz you won’t learn it from school or TV.
